About the event
The Grandparents' Day River Cruise is a special community outing hosted by the Halton-Peel Armenian Community Centre (HPACC) in partnership with Charterability. Designed to honor grandparents and bring families together, the event features scenic slow-boat cruises along the peaceful waters of Sixteen Mile Creek in downtown Oakville.
Departing from Busby Park, guests will board 8-person river boats operated by experienced Charterability volunteer captains for a 30 to 60-minute excursion. Families can reserve time slots throughout the afternoon and enjoy a leisurely ride surrounded by nature. Before or after their scheduled cruise, attendees are invited to gather at the Busby Park picnic area to relax and celebrate together. While admission is free, voluntary cash donations are appreciated to support ongoing community initiatives.
