In 1977, a group of daring individuals successfully stole approximately 1.5 million Soviet rubles from the State Bank in Yerevan—an astronomical fortune at the time, equivalent to the cost of building an entire residential district. The most bizarre detail? The crucial tool utilized to pull off the entire operation was a simple children's umbrella (known as a "Zontik"), which gives the movie its title. Kept classified by Soviet authorities for decades and only brought to light after the collapse of the USSR, this cinematic feature brings one of history's most creative capers to life on the big screen.
